Maria and Steve: four days in Poland settled it

Maria from Ukraine and Steve from the United States. They were introduced over a video call with an ocean and a continent between them, and married at Lake Tahoe.

We introduced Maria and Steve in April 2023, as usual over a Zoom video call. They liked each other from the first minutes and both wanted to keep talking. By then Maria had moved from Ukraine to the United Kingdom and Steve lived in California, but neither of them treated that as an obstacle.

After three months of daily calls they decided to meet. They chose Poland, convenient for both. Steve flew in first and Maria arrived the next day. Four days together went past like a single day, and after that meeting neither of them had any doubts left.

The next step was a cruise around Spain together. A few unforgettable days at sea, new cities, dinners at sunset — Maria and Steve grew genuinely close. What had been an introduction became a relationship.

In May 2024, in the United Kingdom, Steve proposed. On 27 July 2024 they married at Lake Tahoe in California.
