Oksana and Kevin: four months from the first call to the wedding

Ukraine → United States · introduced in October 2024 · married in Ukraine on 22 January 2025

Oksana and Kevin close together indoors

Oksana from the Kyiv region and Kevin from the United States met in October 2024. Four months later they were husband and wife. This is a story about two adults who understood very quickly that they had found each other, and did not put their lives on hold.

Kevin came to Jaroslavna in September 2024. He was not looking for perfect looks. What mattered to him was compatibility on the inside: shared values, honesty, a readiness to build a family.

At the beginning of October the agency set up the first video call with Oksana. From the first minutes it was clear there was something real between them.

“We talked as if we had known each other for years. There was no awkwardness, no strain, no trying to make an impression. Just two people who found each other interesting and easy to be with,” Kevin recalls.

Oksana felt the same: “Kevin asked the right questions — about family, values, plans for the future. I understood straight away that this man was serious and knew what he wanted.”

Six weeks later they met in Slovenia — neutral ground, convenient for both. Kevin organised the trip and Oksana helped with the route.

“When I saw her at the airport, I knew she was the one for me. It felt as natural as if we had met many times before,” Kevin says.
“Kevin put his arms around me and I felt safe,” Oksana says. “We spent several days in Slovenia — walking, talking, getting to know each other. I understood that I wanted to be with this man.”

After Slovenia they spoke every day, in spite of the time difference. Both of them saw the same thing: when you feel you have met your person, there is no sense in putting it off.

“I had dated different women before, but with Oksana it was different,” Kevin says. “I understood that she is the one I want to build a family with.”
“Distance is hard,” Oksana adds. “But we were both sure of what we felt. Kevin is a serious, dependable man. I trust him and I see a future with him.”

On 22 January 2025 they married in Ukraine, among Oksana's family and close friends. Kevin came out in advance to meet her family.

“Kevin was so warm with my relatives that everyone took to him,” Oksana says. “I could see that he sincerely wanted to become part of my family.”
“The wedding was small but very warm,” Kevin recalls. “I felt that I had been accepted. It mattered to me to know that Oksana is surrounded by people who love her, and that they trust me.”

At that point the couple were working through the visa questions for Oksana's move to the United States. Ahead of them: a new country, a shared home, a family.

“Yes, it is a challenge,” Oksana says. “But I am going into it with my eyes open. Kevin is my husband and I want to be beside him. We are planning a family, a future together. I believe it will work out.”
